J&S ro Pittbull?

Both jacks are great. I bought the Pit-Bull at a Rally and got a good discount on it. I had to have it when I watched the guy and his friend climb up on the Bagger and sit down. The bike wasn't strapped down either. The Pit-Bull will raise a little higher than the J&S. Has a slightly wider more stable base. You can also use the drain pans with the Pit-Bull. I bought several at a discount store for Oil Draining and parts. It also has Grease Fittings. Great Jack!!!

I got the Pitbull because it went higher. They have great customer service, just call and you're talking to one of the guys in the shop. I had an issue with it not lifting the Road King to full height but it would lift the Sportster just fine. The man said it was probably air in the jack and told me the simple procedure to purge it and if that didn't help to call and he'd send a new bottle jack right away.
I have no problem lifting my Sportster on it but I do tie down the bike on the jack because it's top heavy and has a narrow frame unlike the Touring models.

Yeah I read alot of the older posts. I just wanted to see if there were any new owners with other opinions. Seems like everyone has nothing but good things to say about both. I saw the pittbull and the Lone Star rally, should have picked one up then, it was only about 15 miles from my house. I guess I will flip a coin. I appreciate the input. Thanks

I would have probably bought the Pitbull, but weight and size were a factor since I store it standing on end. Got the J&S and like everyone else on here, I'm very happy with it. The oil drain pan makes it very easy to change the fluids without staining the garage floor. And that keeps mama happy.

Both are excellent lifts. i have a J&S and am very happy with it. I had a problem with the bottle jack, called and was sent replacement, no questions. The Pitbull lifts a little higher but is pricier. I have climbed up on my bike on the J&S, no tie-downs, no problem. Great piece of equipment. Just buy either one. You won't be disappointed.
