Default To my Touring Friends... It gonna be a long winter

Let me tell ya, I had a bad riding season. Little short trips here and there, then In mid August I take a 4 day trip around the state. On the final leg home, I get off the highway for my last fill-up... stop at the top of the off ramp and wham. I get drilled from behind, not once, but twice. I was fine, I didn't get the bike back till the last couple of days of September.

Then works gets busy, real busy. I took one day off to drive around with my wife and then work get more busy. Now, snow is flying, and I stand in the garage looking at my bike. I didn't ride much and now winter is here. I suck.

So, plan now for the riding season if you can, cus I am. Next year I plan on much more time on my ride.

Just to take the sting away, I think I am gonna store it somewhere else.... so I dont see it everyday.

Feel free to bring it over and store it in my garage... just don't take note of the odometer.

Default To my touring friends

If you think that you had a Bad Summer check mine out--I had two heart attacks in April, a pacemaker/defibulator installed in September, and the first week in November I rented a car and took a road trip and my defibulator went off in The Outer Banks.
Now the doctor not only will not allow me to ride my scooter but now I can't ever drive my car till things get lined out.
So to all who read this---Let the good times roll why Ya can, and when Ya think that Ya got things bad, just look around and see what problems others are living with.
I feel lucky LUCKY to be here !

Winter has obviously started in many areas of the country. You can tell that just from some of the threads lately. It's already snowed here in Western Washington, compared to most years when we don't see snow until January if at all.

Get some winter mods going and it will go by faster.

It was near 80 here yesterday and the only thing I did was put soft bags on the wifes bike and fix the lock on the SG hard bag.

Another great reason to move to Florida. You can ride pretty much all year!

Our riding seasons starts in September through June or July. People think I'm nuts and ride all year long. What's 115 degrees to rid in.

Like the guy with the heart issue said, enjoy when you can. I started riding 10 years ago when a co-worker of ours announced he had pancreatic cancer and left work to get his life in order. I decided then that the time to ride is now.
