Default best garage door opener

I know there was a post about this recently but, long story short...What is the best headlight operated opener for the buck that is easy to install. I hate not having one. Thanks

To me, mine was the best for the buck. About $2.99. However it's not headlight operated. Just a push button

Personally, for both of my bikes, I went with the Harley set-up. Fairly simple install (once you open up the fairing) and it works great. Just flip your hi-low beam switch and
the garage door opens and closes.....I installed one on my 2007 FXDL and my 2011 FLHTK.

I went with the flash2pass route. It was cheaper than HD and very easy to install (on a RK).

I have a liftmaster/chamberlain garage door operator. their remotes run off a 12vdc battery. Soldered two wires to the battery connections and two wires to either side of the actual push button.

Connected the battery power wires to the bikes electrical system (switched positive) and mounted a push button on my fairing and connected to the push button wires on the remote.

Works like a charm, I can open my door from 500 feet away. I hand plenty of remotes and wire so the only thing I had to buy was a push button.

$5.00 dollar switch and 1/2 hour labor. results, pricless.

EP50, that's the best one. Where can I get one?

My garage door opener is so old none of the available universal controls work with it -- I've tried a few. The controllers for it are too big to carry with me.
I'll admit it would be convenient to have the door open as I roll up the driveway, but it's really not that big a deal to get off and open the door. Hasn't inconvenienced me enough to make me spring for a new opener.

There's an easy fix for you, The chamberlin 635LM receiver.

This unit plugs into a 110 volt outlet and you connect two wires to the terminals for you wall mounted push button. program a chamberlin remote to it and your done.

I was in the garage door business for ten years and installed 100's of these. If the garage door operator has a push button on the wall this unit will work with it.

When I was looking into this, the "headlight operated" opener was actually a MOCO option that you spliced into the wires for your head light and the receiver plugged into your existing opener. My opener is so old it won't interface (old analog unit) so I just use EP 50's method. The wife or kids hit the switch when they hear me coming up the road. Who says loud exhaust don't serve a purpose.
