This is an example of where HD really bends you over and sticks it to you. All you have to do is buy a fob-sized opener. If you're not into soldering wires, just stick it in a handy place. Mine resides inside the speedo housing connected to a red momentary pushbutton between the speedo and tach. 3/4 of the fun in having it is when somebody notices it and asks what the red button is for and I've told them stories ranging from the truth (not very often) to "a passenger seat vibrator" (usually).

Even if you have to buy a new fob, it's less expensive than the "turn signal" ripoff deal that HD sells. (The other 1/4 of the fun in having it)

I just glued the one that came with the opener to the underneath of my glovebox lid. Call me cheap, but it works great.

I bought a universal keychain FOB garage door opener. I clip it to my belt loop with my keys and bring it with me on whichever bike I am riding.

Have a small keychain remote, key fob and remote are on a small carabiner that I clip onto my belt loop when I am riding. Get to the door, reach down, push button, door opens.

Gotta get one like EP50 has! Only downside I can see would be the upkeep and maintenance on the opener though......

Thanks for posting the information on the Flash2Pass. Just ordered one from Eastern and it's a great price. The same thing at eglidegoodies was $100 with tax and shipping and almost $90 ordering from the manufacturer.
