I like the concept...the only consideration I might throw out there would be this...consider adding another mounting point to the bags...a third one perhaps a little lower to keep the low end weight from possibly flexing the bag as it trys to swing out...I doubt that it would move, but I'm think with that amount of vibration you could possibly wear on those fasteners where the saddlebag attaches to the frame of the bike.
Not likely at all IMHO, but something to consider (if you haven't already).

I used to be a mobile audio nut many years ago. I look at my saddle bags every once in a while and go hmmmmm. A couple of 8's. Maybe adding a Tour Pak with a 10". Mids and tweets in the fairing. Then reality kicks back in again. But I do often wonder if it has already been done before.
