Been Wheelin' & Dealin' On My 2 Bikes - Still Confused
Well...the 2011 CVO RG Ultra (charcoal/black) is sitting there with a hold tag hanging on it, in my name.
I managed to get my '09 RG sold for $21,300...if I decide to buy the '11.
At present, with 2 hours left in the auction on eBay...my '06 SG has a current bid of $22,500.
I listed the bike with crappy pics.
My buddy & brother have both said, better pics should bring me a few more dollars.
In the very next breath, my brother tells me I should have taken the $20k that was offered 2 days ago for the '06 SG.
I have a Buy-It-Now of $27,500 on the '06 with a Reserve of $26,000.
I'm trying to be logical here but don't want to screw myself either way.
My SG has a NADA Dealer Trade of just over $11k.
As much as I have in my bike, it's STILL an '06 that very few people have the ability to pay cash for.
NO bank will loan that kind of money on it, unless there's a hefty down payment involved.
The dealer has stated they'd sit on the '11 CVO RG for a couple weeks if I needed, to give me time to get top dollar for my '06 SG.
I just don't know WTF to do.
I keep telling myself....."sell the '06, keep my '09, F the '11"...OR..."that '11 is badass, it's calling your name, do the deal."
Thing is...in '09 I was in love with the CVO RG in the same color...that black & silver...or whatever those 2 colors were.
Here I am, 2 years later...STILL in love with that color scheme.
What do you guys think is a REALISTIC price for my '06 SG?
I know it has EVERYTHING...but it's STILL an '06 that keeps dropping in value.
Since I'm still in love with that color scheme...is that reason enough to believe that MAYBE that's the bike for me?
I'M SO CONFUSED!

That's a killer SG... but the auction will be over soon anyway. If you think you can get a better price go ahead and relist with better pics.
I demo'd that very RGU and was quite impressed, although the ride was way too short.
If selling the RG and SG will allow you to get a bike you really want - then go for it.

Current bid is $22,500 for the '06.
My '09...I gave a buddy of mine dibs on it, before I advertised it.
He countered my original price of $22.500.
Here is the final deal we worked.....he has an '08 RK, title in hand.
Dealer offered $14k for it on trade.
He added $6000 real money to it.
I'd save about $1300 in taxes on the '11 by having his trade.
I consider the $1300 real money, too...since I won't be paying it in taxes if all I had was cash.
