add to that my left Hog tunes speaker blew. So all you hear now is a lot of distortion and buzzing. After reading the threads here I just ordered a set of J&M
HCUS-09GTM-B. 140 W per speaker compared to 50W for the Hog Tunes.
I'll tell you this, if their speakers are a quarter as good as the service I received from Brian ( The guy that I ordered from), I'll be a happy camper.
Received Shipment notification, within a few hours of ordering, and answered all my questions. Very Impressed! Just have to wait and see how good they are once I install them. I'm sure they will be better than the 20 year warranty, must have your receipt and proof of purchase 50W
speakers, and you pay shipping 25% of the cost of the speakers.
Can you tell Hog Tunes dissapointed me?

Roads are finally safe to ride on and I was able to take my bike out today. Overall the new speakers are a nice improvement. Volume level is much improved, meaning I now receive at 2/3 volume what I was getting at full. The result is a good volume level with no distortion. The other improvement is bass quality, with the new speakers handling the bass much better. Appears the rear speakers can take a little more, so I’ve adjusted my fader slightly, pushing more sound and bass to the rear. I’m now happy with my system and have no intention of installing an amp. For me this was $$$ well spent.
Happy New Year!!

Originally the stock speakers hurt my ears during certain tones on the radio, it sounded like a squelch on a CB or something. I Then bought the Boom speakers for just the front and I still have stock in the rear with no amp. The Booms were a definite improvement over stock and I do not feel the need to upgrade any more at this time. Eventually I will probably get some rear Booms and an amp, but for now, I can hear the stereo just fine at any speed, even with a full face helmet and my priorities for upgrades lie else where right now. I am thinking custom paint.

I tried 3 different setups before I said screw it and went nuts. It's probably a bit much for most but I love it. I figure if I was going to go custom I might as well go CUSTOM. Set up is in signature....By the way saddle bags are worthless now but, I believe thats the reason they invented tour packs for guys like us that use there saddle bags as speaker boxes.. My peanut helmet does fit in one of the bags!!!! and thats bout it....
