I had a Quad By-Pass at 43 years old? Doc said it was way early for one but I was feeling pressure on my chest NO PAIN at all just pressure. Did an angio and said some of my lines were too small to put a stint in so they had to go for the By-Pass. I had 1 about 50% block and the others were about 20-35%. He was going to do a 3 but while in there did the 4 th.
Makes you think about a lot of stuff when doing these because as my Doctor said NOTHING is guarnteed. Listen I am a Diabetic and was a WILD-MAN when growing up until I hit about 40 , then I calm down and thats when the Heart starts up ?? LOL!! Go Figuire , LOL!! I had one in 1995 and had a Anglio in 2007 and knock on wood all was GREAT and they said to me whoever did the operation was a GREAT Doc and all was CLEAR . I changed my ways and just slowed down , be well and these By-Passes are Gods way of saying "Enjoy While You Can because Soon you and I will be Riding Together" LOL!! If you are thinking about a Bike you Want really BAD and think you may wait until next year ???? Maybe you should buy it now ?

Damn I wish I had read this earlier today. I just came in from cleaning up some vines growing around the house. Now I guess I'll wait for my heart attack to start.

Seriouly, I'm glad you caught it in time.

Hey they have a glue now to glue the sternum back together...

They can get someone out of the hospital in a day or two...

Glad your doing okay.... sorry they didn't have the glue for you.

Yowza! Sorry you've had to go through that, but I was glad to read your thread, considering what the alternative might have been. Get well, Old Man!

That does bring back memories. They cracked me open in November of last year at the age of 40. No blockage just really bad mitral valve leakage. Keep positive and you'll be riding again before you know it. I can remember several times just sitting on my bike in the garage wanting time to fly by so I could ride again. About 2 months after surgery it got the best of me and without my wife's or doctors knowledge one day I just rode off. It was a short ride but boy did it feel good. The rides got longer and longer and within a few months I was riding like normal.

Glad you're okay. It will get better and better......
