FWIW, since you live in CA if you go to this site and put in your info like where you live and what you bought the bike for it will show you what your tax (state and local) and dmv fees (state and local) will be. I know that doesnt help what the dealership is quoting you for the price of the bike but its a good tool.

We are a widespread group on here and different markets do have different deals unfortunately. There is always someone who got a better deal but the price and less dealers "scare" tactic you are getting would not set well with me either.

You are working it right, taking your time and being patient. My bet is the right deal will come your way and you will know it when it does.

Just an fyi.... Central Texas Harley Davidson in Round Rock on 11/20/2010 was offering a new 2010 FLTRX Scarlet Red w/ ABS & Security @ 16,999.00 + TTL, freight & prep.
There are deals being offered out there.

ah, love the old 'if you don't buy it now, it'll be gone, priced higher, etc' schtick. if he had told me that, i would have said 'keep up this ****, and it'll be 5 dealers shortly'.......
