Vance & Hines Power Duels …….. added 9 hp and 4 lbs of tq
To make a long story short:
When I did my SE 103 Stage IV upgrade I changed out my stock head pipes to RUSH True Duels that were ceramic coated inside and out. My tuner was not happy with my choice in headers. But I ended up 100 hp and 98 tq
The ceramic coating didn’t seem to be helping with the heat, so I thought I might as well and do the headers my tuner suggested and put on some Vance & Hines Power Duels.
The first pull on the dyno with no retune was 105 hp and 102 tq.
All said and done I ended up with 109 hp and 102 tq.
The new headers added 9 hp and 4 lbs of tq.
I only needed 1 hour and 16 minutes on the dyno with the retune, so the retune cost wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.
I had always thought that it malarkey about these headers adding hp, but I must admit apparently they do.
To say the least I am very happy with the new headers.
On a side note the sound changed too. They don't seem to be as loud, but I like the sound better now. It seems lower and more thumpy. It's more of what I am looking for.

So the Vance & Hines Power duals added 9 hp and 4 lbs of tq over a set of Rush true duals. I guess you didn't loose all that much torque with the true duals, as I have read from quite a few posts on the forum. I would have thought you would have gained a bit more TQ after changing out the true duels for a 2-1-2 headpipe? Good numbers!
