Default Leaking fork

I had chrome lowers installed yesterday. I picked up the bike and rode about 10 miles home. Later there was a small amount of oil on the bottom of the right fork. I thought it was just residue from the install and wiped it clean. Today I rode about 5 miles. Tonight I was in the garage and found a small amount of oil on the floor under the right fork, the bottom of the fork was wet as well.

The oil seems to be coming from the bottom of the fork, I dont see and evidence of it running down the fork.

What could be causing this?

Now seriously, did you have a shop do the work or did you do it?
If a shop did it bring it back and make them find the problem. If you did, is there any residue anywhere on the slider? If not the only two places it could be from are the drain screw (make sure it is tight and the copper washer is there)
The 6mm bolt that holds the internals together. There was a thread recently where someone noticed oil in the same location as you are describing and when the pulled the axle, the rest of the fluid drained out (I think). Apparently the bolt snapped or backed out. If there is residue anywhere up the slider from the bottom, it could be the shaft seal, or even the cap at the top. Those are the only other points of possible leak.

The drain screw turned a little bit, it did have a copper washer on it. I dont think it was loose enough to cause a leak. The shop is closed Sunday, I will go for a short spin and see if it leaks, if so I will head back on Monday.

Does the screw get sealant or teflon tape?

No, but it does have a specific torque spec
