Would not matter because it still would not have the HP and torque of the metrics. That would take a couple more grand out of pocket after the original purchase.

It might cost less and in "some" ways outperform a H-D, but it wont outlast it.

Don't see many 89 Kawis still running out on the streets and good luck going to a Kawi dealer or the aftermarket to get parts to keep it running...

I can still get a "new" tranny or engine as well as many, many parts right from the H-D factory for my old sled...

Well www.bikebandit.com has parts going back to 1972 for Kawasaki. And there is more of these old jap bikes running around than you think: http://www.xs650chopper.com/

I do not think I was upset about the ULTRA ?? Again you missed the point , I was upset WITH THE DEALER !!!!! Remember the trade in value ?? Never said I was going to trade it in and with those trade - in value's you would have to be crazy to do it. To make my bike what I wanted I may have to do it the additions way (Add-Ons) but if the cost of doing it was too HIGH, THEN I would do the trade-in way . OK so it still gets down to the TRADE-IN value of the HD , There own DEALERS will not give you what the bike is worth UNTIL you try to BUY IT from THEM . If that says I am UNHAPPY with the brand?? I did not think of renting because the only bike I would trade it in on was the SG and if you look at both the UC and the SG there does not seem to be that much of a difference? BUT I found out later there is a big difference, so PLEASE read what I wrote and if you want to write something about my statement how about the dealers taking advantage of their customers and selling them short about trade-in worth of a HD ?? Doesn't that bother you ? At All ?

For something that is "almost PERFECT" you sure seem unhappy about it. I suggest you put a few more miles on your 2010 and enjoy. Life is too short.

D

ps - if you're not sure rent for a day or two. It's cheaper than eating it on trade-in.
