Solo Seat Reccomendation
#21
It took 4 weeks for them to make it. Solo and Passanger Pillion. I orderred it with heat in the solo and the ability to accept a Corbin backrest.
Figured I could pick up a backrest later. Which I just purchased one from a fourm member at less than half the cost from Corbin.
Corbin makes the tightest tolerance seat on the market. For example a Road King seat will only fit Road Kings. The RK gas tank and console is different from the FL's and the seat raps over the console. The Road Glide, Street Glide & Ultra Glide all us the same tank and console so the FL's will fit all the touring biks except the Road King.
I also orderred it directly form Corbin but there it a thread on the fourms about a harley dealer that is offering a 20% discount.

I haven't taken any trips on it yet but the wiring for my tour pack and my Power commander set under it with no problems.
It seems very comfortable and gives you a locked in feel to the bike.
Also, the seat locks onto the bike with a key lock so no one is going to easily take it off or reach the stuff underneath it.
The two things that sold me on the Corbin were the locks and the rear driver seat mounting bolts aren't visable, the seat covers them.

There should be plenty of room under a Mustang or Corbin seat. As far as comfort, I've had both, and prefer the Corbin by a country mile. Other guys would pick the Mustang over the Corbin. It's such a personal thing, same as picking a mattress. You have to sit in a seat for awhile before you know whether it's for you or not.

Well, I did all the research and decided on the Mustang solo. No regrets as far as comfort. I've done 6-8 hour daytrips in total comfort. The only thing about the Corbin that I wish mine had is the lock. I think about it everytime I leave my bike in a parking lot. Maybe if it does get stolen, I'll replace it with a Corbin. Texas Rapier's bike looks awesome with that Corbin solo!
