pretty nice noise maker. At least that's the first and largest impression. Quite an improvement over stock in sound quality - nice deep note, but to my ears it's amped up all the time, even during cruise.

I love the looks of it, especially since my two favorite colors are black and chrome.

Between 2500 and 3000. I get into 6th as soon as I am up to speed and the ground is level.

Monster Ovals are noise makers?
Mine with the stock head pipes can't be considered anything but quiet.
They have a nice low tone but they are quiet.

Do the power duals actually make them that much louder?

I'd say they're easily twice as loud as stock. I don't think it's so much the power duals that make it louder as much as getting rid if the cat. I sure hope I can get used to them, because I love the sound! I'm a former Goldwing rider though, and thought the HD stock mufflers sounded real nice. I add the stuff to get more power.

I rode mine after I installed the Monster Ovals, I thought they were going up for sale, except I had my full face helmet on. It was like my head was in a bucket..Rode with my 1/2 helmet and all is grrreat!!

That's exactly what it feels like! I'll give that a try, Mark.

I run monster ovals and don't consider them to be real loud pipes. When riding with other, I rarely hear my bike over theirs, unless they're running stock. The monsters do get louder if you get on it a little, however, I like them that way. When cruising, I like to relax and enjoy the ride and would rather not have to wear ear plugs. IMHO these pipes are great for the cruiser type bike.
