Take a look . . . double flash with run light on medium intensity. A friend told me that the run light setting was too bright on high which made it hard to tell if I was on the brake or not. In other words, he said it looked like I was braking all the time so I adjusted the setting down to medium.
Same setting for me too. The only thing is I can't remember what brightness setting I have set for the run mode. I think medium because I remember being concerned about getting pulled over for non dot. It's bright, no one wants to ride behind me which suits me fine, I prefer bringin' up the rear. Lol
Would you actually ride in a parade holding the brake the whole time?
Hope its not a stupid question I just dont get it.
.
Nah man, that's not a stupid question. I bring up the rear on PGR run's too. At first I thought I'd switch to one of the parade modes on those rides. To keep the formation tight we ride slower than the speed limit on the highway, and tend to ride way under the speed limit in town, so I figured the more distraction my light is causing, the less likely we'd get run up on by a trash truck (remember the 8 riders stopped at a light in Az. God Bless them...) That was the plan anyway, but I haven't done it yet, people seem to see me no problem now (knock on wood.)
Rode with friend that has one. We got stuck in traffic and it was killing me. Its definetly manditory to let cagers know you are there, but at the same time you dont need to **** them off. I probably will get one soon, and run on med brightness.
