remike, if you are after a deep throaty sound, I love my thunderheader for that very reason. I know the raspy tinny sound you speak of and thunderheader is not that way at all. Dunno if youve heard them or not but some say theyre too loud. I have not heard the thunderheader slip-ons but it may be worth checking into.

Thank you very much. I will check on availibility and pricing. I did not realize Thunderheader had a slip on availible.

The RUSH 2.50" baffle will produce a significantly louder and deeper sound than your 1.75". My Father-in-law was in the same boat your in and after hearing the 2.50" baffles at Biketoberfest, he was sold. And for $80 it was a no brainer. Said he didn't see the point in spending all that money for a whole new set when the sound he was looking for cost him lees than a c-note. Might want to at least look into it. JMO.

I've got them on my 09SG. Always get compliments on them. Nice rumble but will bark when I get in the throttle.

i have them on my bike and like them.i put the short baffles in and the sound is nice and deep and you can hear it.the quality is good and the baffles come right out.
