Default Front Motor Mount Replaced

Hello, I just had a new front motor mount put on my RKC. Vibrates like a mother. It used to idle and the motor would shake real bad, but when you got just over an idle it would smooth out with no vibration at all. Now when its idles the motor does not move at all, but now when you give it some throttle and let off it will shake so bad the saddle bags will come unlatched if they are not locked (i put hard bags on it). The tech at dealer said he put a polymer mount on it and it would last longer then the old one. Will it ever soften up and be comfortable again? If not I would rather put a new motor mount on every couple thousand miles than have my bike vibrate like it is doing now. On the road at 60 mph its tolerable but when you back off of the gas like slowing down to stop, it goes through this one spot that will chip your teeth if you don't open your mouth. Do I need to go ahead and get a stock mount or give this one some time to loosen up? Thanks for you help and time, FLHFred

what year is your bike? i know that the buell mount works good for much cheaper than most aftermarket stuff and is supposed to quell some of the vibration. i know that my 08 streetglide motor mounts work great. i'm expecting that the new motor mounts are polyurethane or some other high tech stuff that's much harder than what you had originally. to cure the vibrating like a mother, have them install the stock one that was supposed to be used on your bike rather than the one that the tech thought you needed. this shouldn't cost you anything unless you specified you wanted the newer higher density mount.

Try the Glide Pro motor mount and see if there's a difference. I need to replace the front motor mount on my RK and I'm going with the Glide Pro one.

The motor mount on my 2003 Ultra failed a few years back. I installed a like kind stock HD mount ... no vibration problems, nice and smooth.
