Default Street Glide WINDSHIELD Size???

What are some of your recommendations for a windshield other than stock for a Street Glide? I'm 5'8" so I was thinking not too much more than factory... Right or wrong... Send your opinions my way. Even though it will probably be like my other bikes.... buy one, then another.

8" Clearview recurve is a really good all-around choice. Still pretty low profile, yet offers great protection.

I second that and add a med tint or even dark tint to it.

I am 5'8" and the klock Werks 8.5" is not bad. When it is windy out though I need ear plugs.

I'm 5'9" with a 7" Freedom Shield. Buffeting is gone. Good Luck. http://freedomshields.net/index.php

I'm 6'1" and can run an 8" Fastaire, with a half helmet and sunglasses. I also have a 10" Fastaire that will pretty much eliminate 95-98% of the buffeting.

i'm 6' 4" and i'm using the long ride shield with the flip at the top. 10" works out great for me. i find that if my line of sight is about 2" above the top of the shield, the windstream is above the top of my helmet. an 8" might be just right for you. i'm using the medium gray tint which is nice because even at night if it rains, i can duck down behind it enough to stay dry. i really am happy with the long ride shield.

I put an 8" Memphis Fats on mine, tinted black at the bottom and clear on top. I'm 5'8" as well and this solved the buffeting problem for me.
