What types of engine mods are you running with that pipe? How does it perform compared to D&D Boarzilla?

I actually ended up looking at this pipe in the first place because I knew it came in black. I have no idea why the pro pipe is only chrome?!? The two pipes sound completely different. As for the heat shields....I really love the look of the wrap, so I have sacrificed my a comfortable cool ride....These pipes are HOT!!!! Probably won't be great riding in AZ throughout the summer Does anyone know if the wrap comes off without damaging the pipes?

Nightster,
I had my regular Pro Pipe black ceramic powdercoated.
Do they make heat shields for the H.O.?

Nightster, thanks. I just checked out V& H's website. $169.95 for the black heat shields. I'm definately getting some before next season.
I had my powder coating done at Aesthetic Finishers in Piqua, OH. They did an awesome job. Pipes still looked new when I took them off.

Nightster

I have a new street glide coming

I couldn't decide on whether to get the black pipes till I saw yours

Love it!

Did you put the heat tape on right away?

If so do you know if it bakes on, i.e. If you took the tape off would it be stuck to the pipes?

i've got a pumped up 103 so i went with the chrome v&h pro pipe, and it made a big difference, and the sound is incredible. the h.o. pro pipe requires a lot of cubes to really work right, and with a 103 i wanted to maintain the exhaust port velocity and scavenging which is affected by the header diameter. your h.o. pro pipe sure looks great, i bet she howls.
