Default Andrews Adjustable Pushrods

Anyone out there running them? I have a set from Fuel Moto that came with a cam kit when I installed. I didn't do the inner cam bearings at the time due to the fact that I didn't have the tool. So yesterday I ripped it open to take care of the bearings. The pushrods went in fine during the intial cam install and no problems. The problem is when you go take them out. It seems the threads were messed up or something because the nuts would not come off easy at all. I am going to call Andrews and see what the deal is. I was expecting to just loosen the lock nut and hold the shaft and loosen them up. Took almost 2 hours to do it all with wrenches. Kind of a pain in the ***. Let me know if anybody out here has taken them out I want to know your experience before I call Andrews and complain.

Did you rotate the motor & get each of 'em on the heal of the cam before you tried to loosen 'em?

Yep.. Like the other poster said, sounds like you have pressure on the push-rods.

No there was no pressure. Jam nut came right off good it was just when you tried to collapse the pushrod itself the threads would catch on the part where the flat started. The instructions say to use a 9/32 wrench to hold the pushrod while adjusting and when I installed them they were fine. What I figure is when I installed them the 9/32 wrench was to big and put some spots on the threads. I measured the flats to be 6.90 mm so I stuck a 7mm on there and it fits like a glove. That 9/32 has to be the culprit for messing the threads up. FYI use a 7mm. I am going to call them Monday and let them know. There is just to much slop with that 9/32

The jam nut would come loose freely, but the threads would be bound up trying to collapse the pushrod, if there was pressure on em right?
Glad you figured it out.
