That brings up a question I've had. If you have your bike serviced at the prescribed intervals & follow what the owners manual calls for to be done by a local indy do you "open the window for a future warranty issue", being it wasn't done by a Hd dealer?

No. As long as you document all the service done and it's in accordance with the manual then the warranty will still be good.

I did all the services on my old '06 Road glide except the 1K.At 25000 miles the lifters went south.
No questions asked about proof of services.The ESP covered the repairs.
