I see the same bikes on ebay and CL month after month. People think that because its a HD its worth more than they paid for it 10 years ago.
Some guy has been advertising a 2000 Ultra for 17k. He ends the ad with "I know what I have".
I can tell him what he has: A 10 year old motorcycle.
I think you did great. My neighbor bought an 02 RK Custom for 11K last year, it had chrome wheels, hydraulic clutch, tour pak, and a bunch of chrome. About 10K miles.

bmcgc I know that bike , That guy got sooooo upset when I told him that and all the chrome he had was a standard on that bike he nearly flipped out !! LOL!! Hey I know what I got also a new bike that I can not get near what I paid 6 months ago AND have to cut off 25-30% off to sell it ? At least that is what alot of guys here have been telling me ( They may be right ??) You sir did well on that sale , never look a gift horse in the mouth ! How about buying mine $20K ??? LOL!!!

OP, I bought the wife her 07 RKC with 1345 miles and lots of bling (someones garage queen I guess) this summer for $14,500. Based on my experience.....you did great!
