I purchased a special bracket for the shock mounts to lower the rear end about 1". Then I purchased an HD Sundowner for more comfort and a lower profile.

So far, I've taken her down about 1.5", and it helps.

What have some of you folks done to get your sky-high Road Kings down to earth?

 

Changed my stock air shocks for some Progressive 940s.

Dropped the rear close to 3/4 of an inch and greatly improved the ride.

Added a Corbin Solo. Better shape and more comfortable seating position.

 

I did the exact same thing (seat and blocks). However, I have been looking at new wheels and it seems like everyone is going with 18". Doesn't seem to be to many custom wheels using the 16" rear. I'll have to do some more research.
