Looking for a nice license plate frame to replace the stock one on my 2010 SG. I want one of those "laydown/contoured/curved" plate frames, like this one from Kuryakyn: ( http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go...ID/25/IMID/405 ). The one from Kury is "ok", but has a pretty thick "perimeter". For those running the Kury frame, does this obscure the plate letters (mine is a custom plate)? Is there any other options for a "laydown plate frame" that is more "streamlined"? Looking for something less bulky and cleaner than the Kury. Any suggestions?

Here's the Kury mount on my SG. Plenty of room if they had taken the time to center the lettering on the plate:

Here is mine on an '08 and as you can see the state name is cut off a little but if mine was a custom plate none of the letters would of been cut off. Mine required trimming to get it to fit inside the frame. I think all states vary in size slightly.

If no one from Alaska responds I would call Kury and ask for the exact inside dimensions and compare it against your plate.

I have the kury one powdercoated black. I'm happy with it.
