2010 muffler noise mods
Hi everyone,
Is it possible to get a bit more noise out of the standard 2010 mufflers (ultra classic with 103 engine) by having them re-packed or new cores etc etc ??
My mate here in the UK has just bought the bike but cannot really afford new pipes etc, just wants a little more rumble.
Thanks All.
Rowle.

On my 07, I took the left side muffler off and pounded a 1" steel rod through it. Very easy. Now on my right side for 07 it has a catalytic converter crap in there. I swapped right for left and it sounded much better. Most of my exhaust runs through the right side.
I'm fairly certain the 2010 has a catalytic in headpipe in the US but maybe not in the UK. Pull the muffler off, simple 5 minutes, and look down it. One might just be a simple baffle that you can punch through.
Note: if you switch muffler sides, you;ll have to dimple the inside to clearance the swingarm/axle nut. I put a piece of tape where I needed to dimple it and then put a socket on it and hit it with a hammer. Looks like the factory dimple. They are throw away mufflers anyways.
