Default SE 120R vs. 120 kit ?

Was thinking of purchasing the 120R motor for my 2010 Road glide. HD parts guys are telling me that it is a no go for the street that i should get the 120 kit which is just under 8k assembled and installed vs. 4500 for complete 120R motor that i would install. Anyone know the difference between the complete 120R and the parts 120 in the SE catalog? I would like to leave the 96 together and just get a whole new motor which already has a lower end that is beefed up. I can't see putting together a stronger motor with the looks of the new style crankshaft in it's factory condition. I also see a Jims 120 and 131 CI that is another option. Would like some explosive power with the ability to still use it for cruising. Maybe i am looking at the wrong motor packages all together not realy sure? I can get the 120R plus the parts to install it for under 6K ,that would include 58mm throttle body,hi flo injectors, SE clutch. I already have the gaskets and supertuner/SE compensator. Does anyone have the 120R in a bagger?

Default 120r

No but one guy from parts and one from service said that i do not want that motor that i want the 120 motor that is not complete in the SE catalog. I can purchase the R model just don't want to make the wrong decision. Not even ordering it where i am asking about it. I get 20 percent off and free shipping elsewhere so too bad for them. Looking for a winter project.

Search this Touring forum for 120R threads and the first few will give you something to think about. There are several of the engines in baggers now and at least one dyno curve to admire.
