If there is a reason that wasn't stated already, no it does not. If it's already been stated, yes it does.

No way. Give up the additional weight capacity, the ride comfort, the traction, the rear brake usability, not needing to buy another tire if you have a flat and you plug it (Mine has three plugs. Two of them for about 10,000 m) knowing that it will not blow up even at low pressures, and give all this up? not gonna' happen, lol.

In a couple of hours I leave for three days of riding, two-up. Rain and wind expected. No sweat, but I would be reconsidering if I still my D407.

Are you frickin' serious? You are a major cheapskate. You've had that tire off and on 3 times with 3 patches and you didn't buy a new one? Wow, just wow.

Don't be a dufus, he said plugs not patches. You don't take a tire off to plug it. And stop be offensive, you're on the wrong thread anyway, this thread is for people who like the dark side, your kind should start your own thread.

Thats one of the main reasons I run a CT. Stick a plug in it, air it up and go! Its steel belted, not gonna be a problem.

I'm still looking for one that would fit my WideGlide. May even buy a hub and lace my old 15" rim so I can run a CT again.

If you use this method for plugging tires you won't have to worry about failure even if it is a motorcycle tire.

I have gotten punctures in tires with as little as 1000 miles on them. It is very hard for me to justify replacing a tire that is almost new. Even standard plugs will last if they are done correctly.

24 years of construction, MANY plugs, and I've NEVER had to replace a tire due to a plug or had one go flat after plugging. Do it right and forget it.
I mean a LOT of plugs too - garbage dumps do some damage far worse than spilled nails and screws. I find that if it seals, it stays sealed. And I've not tried the mushroom plugs yet.
