Default 2010 Limited - I have water in my rear fender tip light

MF!!
I have 1/2" of water sloshing around in my rear fender tip light.
How do I get the lens off and drain it out?
has anyone else had this problem?

This happens sometimes. For the 08s and before there is a small slot that you can use a flat head screw driver to (gently) pop off the lens cover. I know that the newer ones have that LED rear fender light, so it might be different. Maybe someone else can chime in.

It's normal. LOL Seriously, try doubling up the gasket. I have done this before and it worked, not saying it will on yours.

Had the same problem on my '09 Ultra. Take it to your dealer as it'll be covered by warranty with all new parts.

I will look for it. But last night with close examination I didn't see any slot.

Hummm, don't think I've seen any water in the rear lens yet. But I'll take a closer look next time.

Just wondering if you wash your bike often? I have been through some torrential rains on mine and have not had any problems. But have seen problems on other peoples bikes that wash them a lot.

I had the same problem on my 2010 with the "run/brake" version. Zanotti's replaced it with no questions. BTW, the LED seems to be a sealed unit.

You can't take the lens off, it's a sealed unit. Have the whole assembly replaced under warranty.

The lens doesn't pop off the newer fender tip lights. If you try to pop it off with a screwdriver you will break it. I just had the fender tip light replaced under warranty for the same water-in-the-lens problem, but my dealer would not upgrade me to the brake light fender tip unit.
