And definitely +1 on fishing the wires through then adding the extensions with 1 addition, connect the extensions to the connectors first then connect the extensions to the wires after you fish them through the bars.

I'm assuming you mean to run the wires from the grip ends through to the center, then put the plugs back on, or the extensions?

What I mean is, after you run the wires through the bars, before you connect the extensions to the original wires connect the extensions to the molex connectors first. Then connect the other end of the extensions to the original wires. The reason is that it will be much easier to reassemble the molex connectors while the extensions are not connected to the bar wires.
