I only had my shields coated with no problems. If there ever comes a day I need to remove my entire exhaust, I will have the inside and out ceramic coated. I hear coating the inside works wonders.

I used to use the ceramic coating on the inside of headers in my drag racing days (4 wheels), it actually lowered the underhood temps & seemed (maybe my imagination) to make the headers scavange better. The headers that were getting the coating were stainlesss steel, is anyone using the inside coatings on chrome pipes? Is there any discoloration from the inside coating process? Does it keep the temps down on the touring (I don't have a heat problem with my FXDL)?

Ive got the black Rinehart true duels on my 08 ultra. I just love them. Great look and sound. One issue I had, my wife had her left heel against the pipe on one ride and melted it on the pipe. I used oven cleaner on it and it cleaned right up. No other issues, just love them

We ceramic coat 2ml's inside and out on all headers from chrome to black it works wonders on the black heats shields to keep them looking great and lower the temps up to 250 F and it keeps the gas hot to keep it moving.

For those that want there black pipes looking good for a long time I would ceramic coat the headers inside and out. Then ceramic coat the inside of the mufflers before you powder coat the heat shields and mufflers. It will last a long time.......

Ride safe! And lets hope winter goes by fast>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
