Mustang here. I did alot of research and there were alot of complaints about the angle of the HD model. None on the Mustang.

I have the adjustable h/d one a I have to tell you that for the money that Harley charges the thing shouldnt rock from side to side, other than that i wouldnt ride anywhere without one. I went out west and did a fly and ride and they had the spring loaded one on the rentals that was rock solid. I would buy that one over the adjustable. jd

I had a Harley adjustable backrest and found I didn't use it that much. Wound up taking it off and selling it. Later I thought I needed a back rest so I ordered a Mustang and sold it without ever installing it.

I enjoy riding without the back rest. Recommend if you don't really think you need one, don't get it.

I waisted money because I thought my bike would be a better cruiser for me with a back rest. There are times I actually sit on the rear seat to stretch out. Get some strange looks when I do that.

My 50+ year old body needs a back rest to ride over 150 miles. The Harley back rest hits me in the small of my back and is a close to ideal as I've used. Combined with the improved seat on the 2011 bikes it's a great combo for me. I did a 750 mile day several weeks ago and my back was still happy. I can't ask for much more than that.

Have one love it! I have a bad back so it's a must. The wiggle doesn't happen once you're riding and leaning against it so I don't know what the big deal is about that.

Dont ride without mine. Have the adjustable one and is nice to vary it while riding to change position a bit. A mod you wont be sorry about.

I use a backrest from Utopia. Small company the sells mostly to Goldwing owners. It matches the seat perfectly and is very comfortable. It folds flat and has storage on the back. Highley rec'd.
