Anyone unhappy with their Harley Backrest?

I have the adjustable h/d one a I have to tell you that for the money that Harley charges the thing shouldnt rock from side to side, other than that i wouldnt ride anywhere without one. I went out west and did a fly and ride and they had the spring loaded one on the rentals that was rock solid. I would buy that one over the adjustable. jd

I had a Harley adjustable backrest and found I didn't use it that much. Wound up taking it off and selling it. Later I thought I needed a back rest so I ordered a Mustang and sold it without ever installing it.
I enjoy riding without the back rest. Recommend if you don't really think you need one, don't get it.
I waisted money because I thought my bike would be a better cruiser for me with a back rest. There are times I actually sit on the rear seat to stretch out. Get some strange looks when I do that.

My 50+ year old body needs a back rest to ride over 150 miles. The Harley back rest hits me in the small of my back and is a close to ideal as I've used. Combined with the improved seat on the 2011 bikes it's a great combo for me. I did a 750 mile day several weeks ago and my back was still happy. I can't ask for much more than that.
