Question Chrome Front Wheel Air Baffle for Road King Classic

I have an 08 Road King Classic and I'm trying to get the Chrome Front Wheel Air Baffle (H-D P/N 58520-79TC) installed on the triple tree of the front forks and I can't seem to get the 1/4-20 x 5/8 inch chrome screws started. There are 3 or so threads in each of the 3 holes on the triple tree where the screws are to go, but that's it.

Any one else run into this problem, and if so, what did you do to correct it?

Not finding H-D p/n 3892. I was expecting to have to use a thread tap, since threads don't go all the way through. Can you give me more info on this special screw?

Just use a 1/4-20 tap.

1/4-20 tap works great,I had to clean out the threads on my 06 and my 09.I believe the holes do go all the way through.

It's simply a tapping screw. List is $.50. Wouldn't be listed on HD's website, you would have to get it at a dealer.
