Default Belt adjustment

I just finished the 5K sevice on my '06 Road Glide.I adjusted the drive belt with the gauge and according to the service manual.
Is the belt suppose to be that tight?
With rear tire off the ground,3/16-1/4" deflection @10lbs. pressure applied to belt.

Make sure you check the tension at different points on the belt. They can vary. I was advised to do this by an HD wrench. You should also do this when adjusting the primary chian tensioner.

3/16 to 1/4" is correct at the loosest area of the belt. You need to roll the bike back or forward to find where it is the loosest and make the adjustment there.

Bill
