Question Exhaust mods for 2010 FLHX/FLTRX...or lack thereof

I got my new JP Cycles catalog and am shopping for an exhaust for my 2010 Road Glide Custom. When I look at the ads for xxxx-2010 Touring/Dresser, most say in bold right after (except 2010 FLHX/FLTRX). I seem to have two choices- Vance and Hines or Kuryakyn. I was considering the Kuryakyn "Perfect Storm" kit because it doesn't say (except 2010 FLHX/FLTRX), but if you look at the next page with the ad for just the Crusher exhaust, it does say (except 2010 FLHX/FLTRX) there.
Anyone else notice this???? Any hints?

If you are looking for a slip on Vance & Hines, Rinehart, and D&D make one for the 2-1. A complete system from any 2010-2011 model will fit also.

Do you want to replace the 2:1 with a true duals system?

Would like to do the whole system- perhaps the true duals from V&H. I'd like a 2 into 2.

I'm very happy with theV&H system I have. Looks good and has a nice deep sound. Much better sound than the V&H ovals I had on my 07.

What do you think of the sound?

If you are going to replace the entire system they all will work.

If you want to keep the stock headpipe and keep it 2-into-1, then yea there's not nearly as many choices (which is silly, since the only difference is just getting one slip-on muffler instead of two)

2-into-1 complete systems? Yea, definitely limited choices.

But if you want to go to duals, any 09+ system will work.

Sifu- Pipes sound great!! I've always been a V&H guy. I went to J&P's website. You can put your bike and year in and they match up what fits it. Many choices available. Very strange the way the catalog reads though...thanks for all the other responses, too!!

I understand exactly what you mean about the exhaust thing being confusing. The first thing I wanted to do was change my exhaust. The guy that did my work for me said, "Save your money on replacing the exhaust. You can't buy much better than what you have now." I have a 09 Street Glide with stock pipes and Rinehart slip on mufflers. After all the smoke cleared and we were done with all the other work the Dyno confirmed what he said.

It's just my opinion but I would go with a Vance & Hines system such as power duals and your choice of slip ons. The above with twin slash ovals worked great for me. Twin slash rounds were too droning at certain rpms and loads to enjoy long 100 + mile rides and listen to tunes.
