Looks great and I've spent some time in the San Antonio area and once you get away from the "Loop" and get out into Hill country it looks like some nice riding.

Thanks for the compliment. I don't envy you. If I had the kind of winter you're facing I'd be storing my new bike with only a few hundred miles on it. They're talking a mild winter here compared to the usual which means it shouldn't be bad at all. People mow their yards here almost year-round. It was 47 when I rode to work this morning and I enjoyed the crap out of it. Don't know if I'll ever need to use the heated grips.

The hill country is nice! So, are you going to trade your VTX? I traded a 2003 VTX 1800 to get the FLHTK. I really liked the vtx and it still looked and ran like new.

I got mine at MSRP, no freight or set up fees, they paid for my plate transfer ($30) and threw in a free 1st service. The document fee was $55, Sales Tax $2,317 & License $359 (Kalifornication fees).

They had a 2010 for 3K off he MSRP, but I just liked the 2011 w/psychedelic purple, and getting the bike you want is more important than the savings, to me. I love this bike!

Enjoy your bike, that's a very nice color combination!

I'm probably going to hang onto it until the spring where I'm hoping to get a few more $$ out of it maybe.

No problems with the VTX at all, I've enjoyed it. I've just always wanted a HD and the timing and pricing was right with my recent deployment to the sandbox. So just waiting on my Road King to be delivered to maybe ride it once or twice before it goes to sleep for the winter We get a lot of the white stuff in NH lol
