Default I guess this is my new home....

I guess this will be the forum I spend most of my time in now....
Momma and I just pulled the trigger on a 2011 FLTRU as told here:
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/gener...-now-long.html
The bad part is that with living in northern Ohio and because I am currently working 75+ hours a week we told the dealership to keep it till spring.....

Question - Does this mean I have to tell my old friends who have softails they are riding a girls bike?

I will update my signature picture as soon as I get a chance....

Curious to know why you bought the bike now if you have to leave it at the dealer until the Spring. Do you get a much better price because it is the "off season?" I am a SoCal guy so this is a foreign thing to me.

PS- Congrats on the bike.

Nah,......... you don't have to tell them.
You can, however refer to them as posers.

Gotta say that WAS a cute little Heritage you had there! I kid.....
Be assured though - you will have to endure the GEEZERGLIDE comments now.

Excellent! I am a momma and cut my own deal on 2011 SG - first HD, first bike. I did good ;-) My hubby won't have anything to do with bikes!
Enjoy the ride and hold on tight to your momma! You have a keeper!

We pulled the trigger now for a couple of reasons...
1) They will store the bike (inside heated storage) free till spring. Makes lots more room in my garage for me to fit my car next to Momma's. Living in Ca you have no idea what its like to go outside to go to work at Oh dark thirty to find your car buried under a foot of snow....
2) The dealership was willing to deal now (for whatever reason). They gave me top dollar for my Heritage.
3) It really doesn't matter when I buy the bike. I took a 5 year note. That means 5 off seasons (around here) and 5 riding seasons. If I waited till spring to buy the bike it would have been 5 riding seasons and 5 off seasons. No real difference. Either way I have to pay during 5 winters.
4) Now I get to spend the next 5 months asking "is it spring yet?" over and over again.
5) Last but not least I get to spend the next 5 months hating people who are smart enough to live somewhere with year round riding weather.....

Best thing is....
Now you get to spend the next 5 months drooling over what goodies you're gonna put on her.
