I kind of did the same thing. I took delivery of a FLTRX two weeks ago and left it at the dealer to get some mods done. It's cold here so I figure I will pick it up when they call me and start complaining or in April...which ever comes first.

I’d say you were smart to buy it now, I don’t see too many Road Glide Ultra’s sitting around for long. Let alone until spring time.

I use to live where we had to park the bike for winter. It sucked, but you do what you gotta do.

I'm sure you'll be taking many trips to the dealer to go stare at her! Congrats!

2) The dealership was willing to deal now (for whatever reason). They gave me top dollar for my Heritage.
3) It really doesn't matter when I buy the bike. I took a 5 year note. That means 5 off seasons (around here) and 5 riding seasons. If I waited till spring to buy the bike it would have been 5 riding seasons and 5 off seasons. No real difference. Either way I have to pay during 5 winters.
4) Now I get to spend the next 5 months asking "is it spring yet?" over and over again.

Good points. See what you taught this SoCal guy.

I would check to make sure your warranty starts at delivery, not now.
