I traded in my 08 Fat Bob for a 2016 Street Glide Special. So far so good, I love the ride, LOVE being able to take stuff with me easier, love having a radio and GPS (actually surprised me). Speaking of which I had a hard time deciding between the SG and SGS. It was hard to justify the extra money, now that it is done though, no buyers remorse and the special was definitely the way to go for me. So if anyone is on the fence I definitely think it is worth it.

I also traded my 08 fatbob on 12 streetglide I thought I would miss the fatbob and loose the fun factor I absolutely enjoy the hell out of my FLHX I can drive it just as hard as I did the fatbob. I have rode the FLHX twice to sturgis now 73rd and 75th AWESOME bike.

Oh and BTW Welcome to the forum.
You know what I love? If a NEWB posts a new thread and/or question, ********* like you say "The search button is your friend". Then, when a NEWB uses the search, and posts in that thread (which is new to them), some ******** says "why are you bringing up an old post?" What a ****ing joke... Most people on this forum really are helpful, you just gotta weed through the dicks sometimes...

LOL ... I like the point you make!

Anyway, I ended up trading my 2010 Heritage Softail Classic for a 2015 StreetGlide Special.
For me, it was well worth it ... the ride difference was like night and day! The SGS has so many more pluses than the Heritage.

I love my Fatbob I feel more free. The streetglide is a nice big bike and the only thing i liked was the stereo thats it.I dont like it when i cant see my tire in front of me.Totally different ride for me.

Default Refreshing an old thread...'cause I can.

I made the true best of both...in one. Call her the Fat Glide.

Ordered a MS BatWing and Tsukayu removable hard bags. Now I have 2 bikes in one, for the price of one and three quarters (because of all mods upgrades and blackening). Photos on my profile.

She goes bagger to brawler in 5 mins and back in 10 (a little extra care to put fairing on so I don't mar the headlamp buckets).

The best mod IMHO was a custom hitch so I can hook up our biker condo. I write this from the side of a river taking two earned days off and hog camping in Upstate NY until Sun.

Cheers,
Harm.

I have both, bought a 2017 CVO Street Glide and now a 2019 Fat Bob 114/128, 2 different kind of rides, street glide comfort and all the bell and whistles and Fat Bob quick and agile type of ride brings me back to old dirt bike riding days, best thing go ride one and decide yourself
