Swapped out their bars for a closer reach. I currently have Reduced Reach bars for my 07 RKC. I am in the Columbia area and Kansas City area often. What I would like to do is find someone who would let me sit on their bike and see how they fit me compared to the Reduced Reach bars. I am 5'8. I have thought about Heritage Bars, +2 Sweeper Bars, or the Chubby 518's or 508's. I have also thought about Ape's but I really don't want to put all the money into swapping out all the lines and cables. With the Heritage bars, I don't think the Heritage Style Bars would work as I think they fit 08 and later. If I went with Heritage I think I would have to go with stock Heritage Bars for a Softail. I would like to be able to lean back a little more. The reduced reach bars aren't bad but if I had just another inch I think I would be in the position I would like.

 

there are earlier style Heritage bars. find a stock 07 and older Police RK. they use the heritage bars. 56623-99 if you want new Heritage style for 08 and earlier.

 

I put on some mini apes in September, and they made a huge difference for me. I use a C&C seat on my 2009 RKC, so I am lower to the ground, but now have a much more relaxed reach with the bars. I am just outside of KC (in Olathe). You're welcome to sit on my scoot and see how they feel.

 

I live in Columbia and have 518s on my bike and another bike in my garage with 508s. Would be glad to accomodate if you PM me.I like both much better than stock, reach or heritage. Internal wiring is the bomb too. I have done several bikes and have the job down to about 90 minutes.
