Trying to get an idea on the sound on how much louder these pipes would be without the cat in the stock header pipe.

Are they still sort of tame? I'm looking more at heat reduction and a low bottom rumble rather than louder......

Heh...don't even have the bike yet and I'm already thinking of changes

 

I have that set up on my '06 EG Classic. Sounds level is medium. However, I don't have a cat converter.

 

I had them on my 07 EGC and i thought they sounded okay, however i switched to Rinehart 4" slipons and the bike came alive. My wife said i dont know what you did to those SISSY mufflers but they sound good now. jd

 

Lol..well I'll take the sissy mufflers for now Like I said, just looking for heat reduction and a nice rumble . I like my neighbors and leave for work pretty early...town home development so everything is amplified 10 fold

 

My Wife has V & H True Duals on her 07 RKC, originally with Screaming Eagle slip-ons. That combination was too harsh so she now has 2002 RCK original equipment slip ons with the True Duals. That combination is VERY nice. More distinctive and just a bit louder than stock. Really a very nice rumble.

Have True Duals SE Fat Shotz on a 10 Ultra nice and quiet till you open it up .

 

Not V&H but I have the Full sac system along with their 2" baffles in my SE Slip-ons. The sound has a nice bark to them but won't give you head aches on long rides.
