When I saw the bars for the first time on the bike I was not happy that they were above the fairing. I was an hour ride home. 15 min into that ride I was happy that I got the taller bars.

The windshield is from Sinister

These are my 12" Outlawz. I've found that the closer I get to shoulder height, the comfortable it is for me. These bars are not very high, just below shoulder height. I'm 5'10".

I think they are 12's as well. I am glad that mistake was made. Even being shorter the 12's work just fine. I think they make me sit up straighter and that helps as well. And I get no pain in the shoulders anymore.

You have a lot more forward and rearward adjustment with apes.

They might be 12s but they look a little shorter than mine. It also depends how far forward you push them forward as to how much they go above the fairing. The yaffe's run tall. I don't understand it. I put mine on the table and squared everythingup to measure the vertical rise and mine were just a c-hair shy of 14". I do agree go taller than you think you want. I love mine but wish I would have gone taller.

I'm 5'9", 20" apes on my softail & 12" apes on my roadglide. I wish I would've went with 16's on my roadglide. I love apehangers and never had problems of my hands going numb. My hands go numb with lower bars. I agree with the post above, definately in the wrist angle not in the height.

These are Santee's and they say they are 11" but a friend of mine has 13" on his bike that look and feel exactly like mine (but another unknown manufacture).

I've seen that happen a lot between manufactures. One brands size is widely different from another brands numbers.

As you can see these 11" Santee's pull back more then most and since I took that pic I've adjusted them back another inch or so.

They would fit you very comfortably. I love them. I got them off e-bay and had them powdercoated for less then a hundred bucks.
