Default Sears Yellow/Red Jacks

Hi all. Getting ready to do my 20k miles service on an '09 Electra Glide but I still need to get the jack. Wondering if anyone has experience with the yellow or red jack from SEARS, how good they are, and what the "real" difference is?

I don't care about turn tables or anything fancy. I just need something to reliably go up and down. Reliable being the big thing because I hate having to purchase things twice because I bought garbage the first time around.

Sears jacks are junk.
Buy a J&S.
Shipped to your door in three days.

Lots of threads on this, but to me there are fine. Also there isn't any real difference with the Sears and the HF jack other than price...IMO

The J&S Jack is the way to go. It doesn't pay to go cheap on your ride.

My Sears Yellow Jack worked great until it broke. Then I had a tough time getting my bike down and ended up with 25# worth of scrap metal. Then I bought the J&S jack that I should have bought in the first place.

I have one from Menards that is the exact same thing that Sears sells as their red one. I use it all the time. Everytime the bike is washed it is up. Make sure you use the strap when working on it. I think they are pretty stable for the average DIY'r. I really don't think there is any need to spend big bucks on a table or anything. All up to you in the end.

I believe the yellow one is the better of the 2. Check out Harbor Freight also as a lot of people swear by them as well

I've used the yellow one on 3 different bikes. Didn't use it to do the oil change on my new RG but I'm sure it'll be fine for that too.
