I like the aluminum one much better.
I tried the aluminum HF jack and didn`t trust it. Couldn`t return it fast enough, just wanted to get rid of it.

I have one from Menards that is the exact same thing that Sears sells as their red one.
I've seen inexpensive jacks from Advance Auto, Pep Boys, etc that all look identical to the Sears red jack. However if you'll do some measuring the lifting arms are not as far apart as the Sears jack. Not as stable with them being closer together.

Craftsman Professional 1500 lb. Motorcycle/ATV Jack

I recently purchased the Sears aluminum jack. I used a Lorin for a couple of years and it was poor. Spent 200$ on the new jack and really like it. Lightweight and very stable.

I have an Easyroller from Cal Products. When I bought my custom the easyroller didn't go low enough to fit under the bike so I bought a Sears Yellow. I used it one time and took it back. I found it to not be nearly as stable as a good jack. I think the bottom line is that you get what you pay for.

Red Sears for 2 years now. Works fine, never had a problem. Maybe someday I'll get a better jack, but I'm okay for now.

Crafstman Red Jack works great for me. Had the SG up on it many times with no issues and still works great for the money. Great jack for the guy thats gonna use it a couple times a year.

Been using my Sears yellow jack for about a year and a half now, works great, no issues. It is not the most stable, but works for me, for now. If I were buying again, I would go with a J&S instead.

Sears works great until the hydraulic bottle quits. I'm on my third jack. They can't replace the bottle. I like the Sears features some don't have. I do think HF is the same one.
