I have an extra Pitbull jack that I don't need anymore. $250 + shipping and its yours. IMO they are the best out there.

THE PITBULL IS SOLD. THANX

I've heard good things about both the J&S and the Pitbull. I went with the J&S and couldn't be happier. Used it on my Dyna when I had that bike, no frame adapters necessary. Should be no issue at all on the Touring bike.

I must say, I get a kick out if those that say " I will never put $20,000 bike on a $75 jack" what does the price have to do with anything? My $100 Craftsman works just fine. It has safety lockouts to prevent accidents. Do you put $3 gas in your bike? or do you look for some that is more expensive? so silly.

Well there is no doubt that the J&S or Pitbull or good jacks, but you are going to pay more for it. I also have the HF jack that I got for 59.99. I keeping hearing how nobody will put there 20k bike on a cheap jack, but what I haven't heard, is any stories of a 20k bike falling off that cheap jack

I've had a Big Red Motorcycle/Atv jack (Pep Boys) for about 6 years. It cost me $65. I've used it for my Atv's & motorcycles. I've change tires, exhausts, forks, shocks, handlebars, tanks, bodywork & a lot more on bikes/Atv's on that jack...never had any issues with it. I always put my bikes on a lift when there not in use (every night).

I tried the PitBull lift & was super impressed with it though. It lifted the bike higher & it was much easier to roll around with a bike on it. So in that respect it's a much nicer jack.

Just don't know why I would "need" one when my $65 jack works just fine. I can take the couple of hundred I save (maybe more when I see how much some have paid) & put it towards something for the bike.

I just works for me.

I got a Sears for a job I needed to do real fast (was local, on sale for $75 and in stock) with the intentions of getting either of the high priced spreads later on, but it has surprised me with it's "better than I expected performance" so far, that I have put off getting the J&S or Pit Bull.

The only issues I've heard/read about with the "lesser" jacks is that they have left a fellow with his bike in the raised position when the bottle jack failed, but I have never heard of any damage to a scoot due to using one of the cheaper ones.

I suspect that there is some sort of regulatory agency that makes sure they are up to the advertised task, in order to be sold in the US, and I have some sense of security with possible recourse back to Sears if it failed and dumped my bike, injuring either it and/or me.

That said ..... if I had first hand knowledge of anybody damaging their scoot because of a failure of these jacks when in proper use, or I needed the additional few inches of height ability of the premium jacks, and/or their other features, I might be more inclined to spend over 8 times as much as I did, but I'm pretty happy with my $75 Sears jack, and am thinking the savings will probably end up going into my tank.
