It took the wife and I 2.5 hrs to do everything. I would read the book and point out to the wife what had to come off. While she was doing the step I would take the pics and write down the details for posting. Or if she was tagging/bagging things I would be taking things off.She did a majority of the wrenching. Just gotta love a woman that wants to help on her own bike.

We were actually surprised on how fast it came apart. I was planning on 4 hours from everything I had read.

I figure under 2 hours to put it all back together in 2 weeks.

I wont be posting up the how to for reassembly. I am just going to reverse the order. If something special pops up I will post a note here.

I had just talked to my Indy about doing this. He said the hardest part when you put it back together is not to scratch anything and that he uses lots of tape. Thanks for the pictures and like everybody else, seems like a good winter project.

Cool - thanks! I'll be removing my fairing soon for the first time... installing the civilian interconnect harness, civilian hand controls, and adding some gauges and switches...
