Can only speak for the J&S although heard lot's of great things about the Pitbull .. For what i did the J&S works well for me .. Have just gotten it a few days ago but the ease of use is still got me in awe..

I have the pitbull and really love it. I added the turntable to it this past summer. Now I can store my bike in the garage on the jack and the jack is not in the walking path.

BTW a pitbull at show prices is 399. Makes the cost difference a little less.

I've owned and used both. First had the Pitbull and also purchased a dolly. A great setup and done a super job. Then went bikeless a few years.... sold everything. Then in 08 bought an Ultra. This time I went for the J&S. It also done a great job.. Now again went bikeless from spring 09 till July 10.. Sold the Ultra and jack.. Latest purchase is a new Softail Classic.. This time I have just the Sears red jack.... Hope this is the end of my bike and jack purchases.. BTW the Sears Red jack works out OK but is no J&S or Pitbull....

I went through the same research about 3 months ago, and ended up the the J&S. I really liked the zerk fittings in the Pitbull, but I can't see myself ever wearing out the J&S.

Like most of us, I'm short on room in the garage and store the jack standing up, next to the water softener. Since the J&S is a bit lighter, I figured it would be easier to lug it back and forth. Plus, I got the oil drain pan and ended up spending a bit less than the Pitbull. I'm very happy with my choice, but if I had room to leave the jack out, I probably would have bought the Pitbull.

I have the J&S and love it. I can't say anything bad about the Pitbull either. I have seen it in person and it is a great product as well. It came down to price and the need for options for me.

I will say this though. I don't like Pitbull's sales tactics. I was at a rally a few years ago and they were pitching the Pitbull. Told the guy I liked it but already had a J&S. The guy proceeded to completely bash the J&S jack and the whole company. Called it a cheap knock-off of their jack. Now I have no problem with competition, but I hate a company that bashes a competitor just to try to make a sale.

I like my J&S..... Can't say a bad thing about it. I used to have red Craftsman but it was to unstable for me.

I have an extra PitBull jack that I don't use anymore. I will let it go for $250 + shipping. IMO they are the best for sure.

THE PITBULL IS SOLD. THANX

Just purchased the J&S jack and oil pan recently. Customer service was good and shipping was prompt. Works good and seems to be stable as advertised. Not cheap but I'm pleased with it. Would do it again.
