Default Cutting lowers to accomodate SG signals??

Has anyone modified their hard lowers so that they can use the street glide turn signals? I just bought a set of non-vented lowers at a great price, but they don't allow enough room to turn lock to lock with my street glide signals. From what I can tell, it wouldn't be hard to modify (cut) the lowers to allow for the clearance. I just don't want to hack away if that wouldn't fix the issue or would ultimately cause other problems. I don't want driving lights or relocation kits, etc... If you've cut yours to fit, please let me know how it went, what you'd do again, what you'd do differently.

Thanks.

you shouldn't need to modify your lowers because lowers will also fit a stock streetglide with the factory streetglide front turn signals. look in your parts and accessories catalog, you'll see that harley lowers are available for the streetglide.

I have a 09 Streetglide and installed hard lowers on it no problems with turning all the way either side and locking it.

I too bought some of the non-vented lowers and had the same problem as you. It didn't affect my riding but it sure sucked in parking situations. I ended up buying the newer style and the others are sitting on the shelf. I thought about taking a dremel to them but never did. Good luck. As an aside now that I have ones that would work I never ride with them anyway.
they sit next to the others on the shelf.

Thanks for the replies. I started cutting today. Ran out of time and didn't get to finish. Should be done tomorrow.

Yeah, I know.... I'll get some pics up hopefully tomorrow. So far it looks good, but I'm still having some clearance issues.
