Default Alloy Art 98TS Stabilizer on a 2010 Street Glide

Just finished installing the new Alloy Art (98TS) Engine Stabilier on my 2010 Street Glide. The stabilizer is only about $150, so it is quire a bit cheaper than other versions. This was reviewed in the December 2010 Hot Bike magazine. Overall it took about an hour. I had the Harley heat deflector that install on the frame to keep the engine heat off you leg. I had to take the right deflector off to allow easier access to the space behind the engine by the starter. I also had to remove the battery lead to the starter, so I had to disconnect the battery.

Overall not too hard of a job, I didn't get a chance to ride the bike after I was done with the install.

I'll let everyone know how it works after a ride or two.

Tru-Track makes one for the 09 and later. Much more $$$. Let us know what your impressions are?

Wow, I feel there is no need for anything like this on the new frames.. Did you actually notice a change in handling?

Well took the bike out for a ride tonight, but less than 10 miles. Didn't notice any additional vibrations. The ride wasn't really notically different. Maybe a little less bouncy on small bumps. I guess if things have less motion, and don't add vibration, it should be goodness. Hopefully I can get in a longer ride before it gets too cold.

Is it a stabilizer to stop wobble in turns?
