Default Digital Oil Dip Stick

I 've read some good stuff about em and also some bad, I purchused one anyways It work's great although It's only about a month old. I washed the bike the other day and I don't know if It was me or what now ther is condensation in the dip sticks screen I can't read it , I took it out thought I coulsd take it apart but there are these three torx screwa and I didn't have the right sixze, even If I did I doubt I'd get it apart, should I wait will the moisture dry out eventually or shoukd I return it for a new one, I got it to monitor the temp of the oil I put in synthetic the hottest has been about 220 thanks Bill

Have never had a condensation problem. I have the new stick with the oil level/temp and it works great!

Please consult with your dealer before you take the dipstick apart! Some dealers may void your warranty. The components inside this dipstick are very sensitive, and if you screw it up, they may not give you another one for free!

Somebody should start a rental program of those digital dipsticks. Rent it out to a guy for about 25 bucks for a month. Once he learns what his bikes oil temps normally run and the novelty wears off, he can send it back.

I run syn in all three holes. I calculate my engine running temperature in this manner; If it's not going into protection mode and running rough, then it's not running hot......nuff said.

According to my dealer when they did my dyno with the SERT they did away with the protection mode. It runs much much cooler after the RT was added.

I have had an old model on my fatboy since 03......like everyine says the novelty wears off. Just bought an in dash oil temp gauge for my for my Ultra...not that I am all that worried about over heating.....I just think the air temp gauge is worthless. Why wouldnt they at least put a compass in there instead of an air temp gauge....guess they had to fill that hole in the fairing with something.
