LOL !! The 'right way' is to put a new set of head pipes on. The Fulsac is no better than the freeze plug method.

Why is the Fulsac no better? It eliminates the "Y" pipe, has a nice radius pipe for the left side, and a straight pipe for the right side. Have had this on mine since 08 and has given me no problems.

I have the Full Sac and it works as good as any other true dual. Rear pipe has a nice radius to it
07 Touring Bikes have a restrictive left muffler and would have a lot more backpressure on that side. Would recommend aftermarket slip on mufflers if going to true duals.

And,...........how is that any better than the 'freeze plug' method ??

The Fulsac is WAY overpriced. If you are willing to pay for the Fulsac, just get the new head pipes. The price isn't much more.

So why is it better than the cobbled job? Seems to me to be about the same.

Sorry, they might be over priced, I'm not sure. I got mine from a forum member for around $100...

It would seem to me that the exhaust gases have no where to get caught up in with the Fulsac, a nice smooth flow out. The cut and insert plugs leaves dead end chambers for the gases to get stuck in.

The Fulsac allows the exhaust to flow out the left muffler like it should, not all confused and taking a sharp 90. No exhaust worth a crap has a 90 turn.

When you do the fulsac, you're doing a true dual set-up with 1 3/4" headpipes. You should take advantage of that and add some fuel in with it.

I'm in this boat with you....I got mine used for $100 also. That plug idea is neat and cheap fro sound but it's a bad area in there for exhaust flow.

Just asking.
did my 96 something like this and never could find a heat shield to cover up the rear pipe at the jug [ looked like sh;;;, doing it and leaving the pipes a little longer lets you put the heat shield back on and looks better to me but I think I would cut the pipes as short as posible
